Was soll das?

Tomorrow I’m going to attend the Managementtage at our University in Flensburg, and I’ll probably keep myself tagged to the blogosphere by conducting a small Live-Blog event from the Audimax of the University. I will visit the following two Panels on Friday, while I’m not sure in which to participate on the upcoming saturday:

Panel 2
Medienunternehmen im Zwiespalt ökonomischer und publizistischer Werte
Prof. Dr. Mike Friedrichsen and various other professors will hold this presentation, and I hope I’ll be able to find some useful key elements for a discussion in the evening hours.

Panel 4
Regional Marketing
Quite interesting to hear from the lectors from the Syddansk Universitet about this topic. I hope they’ll speak German or English — and no Dansk.

I honestly become disgusted with group-work for university, but it’s a must-do, so I can hardly avoid it. Some people are unable to understand the concept of group work, but I’ve never enjoyed these „therapy sessions“ anyways. I prefer to lead a team and not face endless debates about a „what if“ or „what if not“ decision (where’s the final decision being made, eh?), especially if others don’t ever have the idea and concept of „the master plan“. I decide, and I only hate to decide if there are people involved who I like. That’s probably why I rather choose to „not decide“ in groups where people from my Semester are involved.

But for others who I don’t like – there you go: Why are people dumb and don’t do their work after 4 weeks of time have passed? What kind of a lazy bum can you be to stick your nose into International Management without being interested to work your ass off? And why does one group (mine) have to take over the lead – if the other groups are just incapable of creating some kind of achievement for their work – by which the others would experience a great benefit to the whole cause and progress of the project? In my opinion, they’re not worth to become any kind of managers. Not even the facility managers can be so damn lazy. Where’s the catch? Did you pass your school’s graduation diplomas with sports, arts and music as majoring subjects to pass the Numerus Clausus? Lazy freaks. Where’s got the frog his golden hair – on the butt!

But that’s been not our problem, except one small issue concerning today’s meeting: Earlier this evening we’ve been experiencing some entertaining moments for our Marketing group to plan the Culture-Day to advertise our Institute among the city’s population and future-students from the local schools. The problem for me was – I was designing the logo while the others were arguing about other groups and their work, and once I was finished, they suggested new input for the logo design which were rather silly and useless according to the standards and understanding of a former graphics designer (me). Of course, I’m not perfect, but I’m not going to tolerate any critics. This is how the game is played – bear with the consequences. I’m just too nice sometimes.

And now I’ve been kept busy with a useless powerpoint presentation for the Spanisch 4 language course… my eyes are burning, and I wish some tears would give them some moisturing effect, but unfortunately I’m so burnt out that I’m facing the consequences of tiredness – sleep. Good Night!

Was passierte?

…why exclude potential readers just because they use a different browser or OS to you. In the chase for traffic every visitor is as valuable as the next one, and should be given the same consideration: its not hard making sure that your site works in other places, and in failing to do so the only person to lose will be you.

We all know the Phishing Mails which redirect us to various webservers to collect our bank account data, social security numbers and other private information which may NOT be used by anybody else than ourselves.

MailFrontier published their second survey which challenges you with example-mails to either accept them as legitimate email or phishing fraud. I scored 80% in this simple test, but even if the other two were legitimate while I considered the answers as fraud, I was quite correct about not visiting the links… ;)

There’s sometimes a moment in your life which emphazises your mind to one specific state: Serenity. In this moment of personal tranquility, I’m experiencing the Social-Science Methods 2 course at University. Not that I don’t understand the input, I just have to learn it from the beginning within the next two weeks to be prepared for the test in late July. But within my experienced serenity, I noticed that I lost the interest to utilize my thoughts within this blog.

Well yes, there’s been many things to be done and I’ve really had enough of the stated silence found in my expressions while writing here. I did lack to find content on the weekend which was worth to be published. The only things I’ve done was commenting to other authors, and no kind of copying, quoting and using the sources for my own ramblings.

While I’m tired but relaxed, our small group for the Regional Development Election Project course has nearly finished the small interview-movie which takes approximately 2:48 minutes and nearly 590 MB space in a high-definition format for DVDs. I wonder if our lector James wants to include this on his website, and I guess we must use a lower quality format to distribute these tidbits of student society to the web.

And one might ask why this post was originally named „Thunderstorms“ – the answer is pretty. Over the weekend (on Friday night to Saturday morning) our region was shocked by a severe multi-thunderstorm – and the dark sky looked absolutely beautiful while Kat and I were snuggling close under our blanket in the candle light.

One thing I cannot accept is the behaviour of my younger cousin Mia. She’s now about ten years old and behaves like a dirty mouthed sailor. Most of her insults are directed towards me, while she’s playing the nice angel to her mother, my grandmother and almost everybody else. I don’t know why she apparently hates me, but I offer her only one thing in return – pure ignorance or deep disgust. Just earlier as we’ve been celebrating my aunt’s birthday, the little brat started to annoy people just out of boredom. Nobody was interested in talking to her because she’s always trying to get attention like every 10 year old, and I gave up showing her any signs of attention already a few years ago. I prefer to ignore her or simply tell her not to disturb adults while they are talking. In the end, I’m almost thrice as old as she is, and she considers me to be one of her bully friends in respect to the misbehavior shown to me.

I honestly like children, and I’m always tolerating them – but this little brat does not deserve any positiveness. For the last three years she’s been trying to freak me out, and after a few hours of being mistreated by her insults, I’m usually giving her a sneaky remark. Today, that remark did upset her alot, and she left the room. Nobody in the living room really watched over her or did care about her doings, and about 15 minutes later her mother explained that it did upset her deeply and that I should not treat her so bad. Well, in the end we left the celebrations which were already going to end sooner or later, because of the distress placed by her mother towards me. Since my aunt doesn’t want to listen to me, I had no interrest to continue that celebration. While I explained her that a rather harmless remark of „put your finger in the butt and be happy about it“ is nothing in comparison to my cousin’s comments of „you suck ass“, „you fat dick, etc“, she did not want to accept that I treat her „poor young child“ like the Mia simply treats others while mommy won’t watch her undoings. With all due respect to any ethical principle on earth, I’d rather see Mia being punished desperately for her misbehavior.

(z.B. http://www.m-e-x.de/blog/index.php/archives/2005/06/03/
wordpress-anti-spam-plugin-bad-behavior-update-auf-101/?s=behavior), was aber nicht die eigentliche Suchroutine ansteuert, die im index.php erst dann aktiviert ist, wenn keine der üblichen Blog-Funktionen aufgerufen wird.

<form action=“<?php echo $_SERVER[‚PHP_SELF‘]; ?>“ method=“get“>
manuell geändert zu
<form action=“/blog/index.php“ method=“get“>

That’s a biggie for $620 million. As reported by Loren Baker from Search Engine Journal, eBay has acquired the Shopping.com portal. This seems to be some big buzzing news in the media. I had a laugh while reading the news from SEJ.

What is Shopping.com? It’s just fantastic for any merchant who likes to distribute to millions of customers. You’ll either create or use your existing online store to list all the products, push these advertisements via Shopping.com on a pay-per-click fee basis, and in the total sum the portal is a huge search engine shopping mall.

What did eBay know? Nothing – until their XO’s heard about this similarity between eBay and Shopping.com: These merchants simply did the same on both platforms – they were uploading probably identical versions of their shopping feeds and products.
