German Elections 2005

Today is an important day for our country: Germany’s Election 2005 is taking place. While the younger generations preferably choose to vote for the left wing oriented parties like the SPD or the brand new splitt-off Die Linke, the CDU relies on elder people and seniors. With them, they plan to forge their irrational methods of doing nothing else but re-creating the former Kohl-Era under a new banner.

One more thing about the CDU/CSU coalition: Their email spam was a real spam. According to Lautgeben, a famous journalist from the German computer magazine c’t received exactly 120 emails in an email account which was solely set up to report about internet-casinos. That renders the CDU/CSU coalition for many internet users as useless as their political messages seem to be.

I will cast my ballot in about an hour after having the daily routine in the morning of showering and having a good cup of tea. I might take the camera with me and make a few shots of the ballot paper. ;)

Wenn Merkel…

„Wenn Merkel morgen die Klingeltonwerbung abschafft, dann wähle ich sie!„

Okay, es war ein Scherz, aber ob das nun etwas an ihrer letztendlich stumpfsinnigen Politik ändert, das vermag keiner wissen. Jedoch ist sicherlich ein Großteil der Bevölkerung dafür, also wird sie gewinnen! Go Angie Go… mit Jamster und Co! Aber ne… Angie? Pfui-Bäh! ;)

Political Scream

For the upcoming elections in Germany, this result shows a clear direction of my most recent test on Wen-Waehlen.de. In contrast to my previous results from the more simply constructed Wahl-O-Mat, the test by Alvar Freude does not ask about only 30 thesis, but 54 scaled statements which have been previously given a special accent based on my personal fields of interest.

I suppose this rather detailed test explains my personal stance towards the CDU/CSU and FDP coalition. It took me approximately 20 minutes to fill out the entire rating questionaire, and I received a much more biased result than the „Wish-Wash“ result of Wahl-O-Mat. The rather funny remark here is that the Left-Wing party was on top. Its nice to know that these semi-radicals are on top – even if I don’t favorize nor approve this popularistic party.

Live at the Chancelor Duel

Germany’s TV stations distribute the live-feed of the Chancelor Schröder and Candidate Merkel on the web. This is a must-see for anybody who’s being interested in the upcoming elections on September 18th. Until now, both politicians do not offer any useful solution to the problems from which the country is suffering. If at least one side would consider that they cannot undo the problems created by the Kohl Administration in the 90s, and if they would not try to argue with the failures of the other party to reason their legitimation for becoming the government, if and then – then we wouldn’t even have to worry about the stupidity of politics.

The reforms of the taxes as suggested by the CDU seems to be worthless under the considerance of the most basic ideas of economics. They cannot finance their reforms, even if they plot their political and financial course to gain support from the rather non-intelligent voters. Surprisingly, Schroeder has given arguments which simply boost Merkel’s ideas off the paper.

Wahlmanifest der CDU

Es ist soweit: auch die CDU hat mit dem heutigen Tag ihr Wahlmanifest vorgestellt, nachdem schon die Grünen am Wochende fleissig an dem Ihrigem gearbeitet haben. Momentan soll das Manifest der CDU kurz betrachtet werden: sehr ausführlich aber wie erwartet entspricht es nicht meinen Vorstellungen. Einige Punkte wie zum Beispiel Bildung stehen offen, was hoffentlich nicht in einem bösen Erwachen enden wird…konkret denke ich da an Studiengebühren, die nicht unbedingt in meinen finaziellen Rahmen liegen würden. Aber so geht es vermutlich nicht nur mir.

Ein großer Kritikpunkt ist für mich noch immer die Mehrwertsteuererhöhung und mittlerweile auch die Befürchtung, dass ein Atomausstieg doch noch wieder rückgängig gemacht wird. Es sind auch ganz gute Ansätze enthalten wie eben erste Schritte zur Lockerung des Kündigungsschutzes.

Letztendlich sagt mir das Manifest wie bereits vermutet nicht zu, abgesehen davon, dass es schwer ist ein perfektes Wahlprogramm für alle Bedürfnisse anzufertigen. Die große Frage bleibt zunächst: wird mit der CDU wirklich alles besser, wenn sie die Wahl gewinnen sollten? Ich enhthalte mir eine Antwort zunächst vor…

Wählen oder nicht…

Schande über mein Haupt, ja ich gestehe – zerrissen habe ich den Brief, welcher für den Wahlzettel einen Rückumschlag mit meinem eindeutig identifizierbaren Namens- und Adressmerkmal beinhaltete. Wenn die Renten- und Krankenkassen mit solchem Aufwand etwas engagieren, dann sollte man von dem Datenschutz ja schon einmal gehört haben. Was passiert, wenn jemand so wählt, dass die Stimme nicht an die eigene Trägervereinigung geht, aber woanders hin? Aber tun sich die einzelnen „Parteien“ in dieser Wahl wirklich etwas, oder kann es denen egal sein, wer wie und wo und wann auf welchem Posten sitzt? Ja, ich hatte mich schon gewundert, was es überhaupt bringt, die „Sozialwahlen 2005“ abzuhalten.

Doch kaum einer weiß, was da gewählt wird. Macht nichts: Die zahnlosen Kontrollgremien haben kaum Einfluss.

Nun wissen wir es: Nichts! Es ist nur eine Geldverschwendung der Sonderklasse, wenn man ca. 46 Mio Euro für Wahlen ohne Einflussnahme und Machtgerangel hinauswirft. Mit diesem Geld könnte ich so einiges bei einer Firmengründung anstellen, dabei mehrere Mitarbeiter einstellen und Produkte ausstellen! [via SPON und mein Briefkasten]
