Kanye West about the sad truth

An amazing video, and the message is so true. In a recent live fundraiser tv-feed for the victims of the Hurricane Katrina, the recent winner of the MTV Video Music Awards Kanye West said the following: George Bush doesn’t care about black people! – and co-moderator Mike Myers‘ face was priceless. Even Chris Tucker looked quite shocked as he noticed he was cut-in after the immediate cut from Kanye’s statement. And the problem is: Yes, Bush does not care at all for them. And the media are doing no less than poking the fire.

Watch the video at Pixelmd.com or check other mirrors. I guess „the suspect is a black male“ is probably one of the most likely said sentence in New Orleans‘ police radio.

Air Americas talkshow host Randi Rhodes said something very similar:

„This President is never gonna do the right thing. I think somewhere deep down inside him he takes a lot of joy about losing people, if he thinks they vote Democrat or if he thinks they’re poor, or if he thinks they’re in a blue state, whatever his reasons are not to rescue those people“

I’m not sure who the biggest idiot is but I’ll settle on West because of my inherent racism as a white oppressor who enjoy his brethrens suffering…

I tell you, racism is all projection when it comes to the left.

I agree. He only cares about himself. Aftermath has done tremendous amount of damage, instead favoritism is on rise for tourists.

I agree with Kanye somewhat. I think it’s about money. If these people supported him, then they would have done more.

Kanye West spoke the truth. I am so ashamed that NBC took the low route and edited his speech in the west coast broadcast. In america, everyone should have the freedom of speech whether we agree with them or not. It’s funny now there are plenty of website dedicated to trash his name. The righteous usually walk alone. Keep your head high Kanye.

Kanye West spoke with reckless disregard about President Bush. I agree, West is entitled to his opinion but only when he backs it up with some sort of thesis or facts. Blantantly saying, „Bush does not care about black people“ is irresponsible. Many teens idolize Kanye and this might be the only news they hear (through MTV News) about President Bush in relation to his aid to the victims in New Orleans. What about the $10.5 billion just passed through congress Kanye?

Kanye’s reckless disregard is no more harmful than the impressions given by network television about the group of people he is speaking about. It is no worse than these „Victims“ being downgraded to „Refugees“. And the media says that they are looking for a more fitting word than refugee but why is that they have never called rich people refugees when they have to leave their million dollar homes because of a land slide? What if this all happened in the heart of Florida? Would help have taken this long for the elderly yet wealthy retirees. And would they be refered to as refugees?
