The picture was made yesterday at the AOL internet terminal. Fortunately, the sun was shining the whole day and it was quite relaxing to walk all over the Ku’Damm, but as I had the most splendid idea to cross the Street of the 17th July from the Siegessäule to the Brandenburger Tor, we had a march for about 12 kilometers. This stripped my feet off.

Today, both of us are taking a short time-out in the easy-internet-café at the Rathausplatz. After having visited the Hackesche Höfe and the Sony Center at Potzdamer Platz, we really needed a moment for some digital lifestyle. The Filmmuseum at the Sony Center showed some interesting insights into the beginnings of filmmaking and the Sony Style shop had some magnificent gadgets for our daily routines: MP3 players, Laptops, Homecinemas, CDs and much more. We plan to move across the place to the large TV Tower of Berlin and perhaps we’ll get lucky if the snow will start melting and the rain will draw off. Until then – much more to follow ;)

Currently I’m sitting in the Esprit Store at Kurfürstendamm and I’m using a free internet access point from AOL. Nice to have. I made quite many photos while we visited the governmental areas of Berlin yesterday. The city looks great and fortunately the sun is shining quite a lot today. Kat’s uncle doesn’t have internet in his house yet since its a newly built home. I’m looking forward to put more info online once I find time to visit an internet cafe…

Tagged between several cars and trucks, we’re managing a short distance on the Bundesstrasse 404 between the Autobahn A21 and A24. From there we will reach Berlin. So far we’ve been wasting our fuel for the last 170 kilometers. It’s snowing a lot, and I’ve caught myself commenting on Kat’s driving. According to her it’s the first time for a long time she’s been driving on the speedways, and concerning myself I expect her driving to become better and better each time she’s training on the Autobahn. But the snow makes me worry. I hope the white dirt won’t cover the roads too much or we’ll end up being stranded in nowhere.

The two of us are leaving today for Berlin. We’re expecting a 4 hours trip until we’re able to meet with Kat’s uncle and aunt and her little cousin. Fortunately, they give us shelter – or we’d have to pay for some expensive hotel rooms. Of course we’re going to take our laptops with us and we plan to make many photos with ourselves and Berlin in the cam’s focus. Sadly, we’re not going to have some kind of mobile internet connection to blog from the trip, but I might prepare some postings in Word for later. Until then – have a good time! Byebye ;)

Was war bisher passiert?

Health is vital for me. I wonder what keeps this strange cold alive. I already consumed dozents of pills, cough syrup and fizzy tablets just to keep my physical self stable. Twenty minutes ago I had an intensive cough attack, and now everything seems to be fine again. Who knows what will come next.

But earlier today, my girlfriend’s computer found its own way of not accepting the LAN at my place. Apparently, the plug for the LAN will not activate the internal „Yes, I found LAN! Let’s be online!“ processes of this stupid device. Instead, it creates the fabulous only windows internal 169.254.xx.yy network where nobody can access it ever. I guess the connector is broken since the cable works fine at my laptop. I think it’s time to get WLAN for both of us… much better in concern of movability and flexibility. So far Katharina and myself are meant to sit on the couch with the two cables dangling off our laptops. Once we find time to get together in a new appartment, the WLAN will give us the opportunity to browse the net while sitting in the kitchen, or relaxing in the bedroom, watching DVDs and doing online research in the living room, actually working in the office room, and for some digital fun in the bathroom, too! I’m looking forward to it!

What did the weekend bring? Nothing but stress found within learning and utmost pain. I should stay in bed instead of sitting on the couch infront of my laptop and next to my documentations. I have deep coughs, pain in my limbs and continous headaches. I am suffering. Only Katharina joined me in this time of inner crisis, I am thankful for her support. The only perspective for this week is to survive the last set of final tests without going to the doctor to be given a medical certificate – for not participating in the final tests. But then it’s time for a most relaxing party here in Flensburg and in Sonderburg… before the two of us will move to Berlin for a nice holiday and then to Greifswald to meet with Katharina’s family.

I can’t wait for the weekend to begin! And now it’s about to be over again… currently I’m enrolled in listening to this song by Michael Gray. After I woke up a little bit too late, I had a fast and steady breakfast consisting out of a meshed egg on a roll and a nice cocoa. My girlfriend Katharina was already finished, so we cuddled a little bit more on my couch before we went out for a walk in the snowy park. It was beautiful to watch her infront of the city’s skyline. The park is on a hill and it is possible to locate nearly every corner of the city from the park’s viewpoints. Now its time for some excercises in Statistics 1 – I’d rather like to do something else than tearing my eyes apart due to the overload of formulars and and and and and.

Earlier we’ve been watching a new show on Pro Sieben called „Do Over“. Sometimes I wish I was young again to change my future, but then – what would I loose instead? Would I ever be as happy as I am now? I’d probably have never met this woman… so where’s the reason behind changing what you have now if you have reached a state of personal peace, enjoyment, love, fascination and inner strength?

Sadly, she’s on the verge of getting a minor flu since her nose crippled today, and she shivered a few times, but I will take care of her during the next days. At the moment, her long blackish hair falls in small shades over her skin while she sleeps next to me. Within a slow move, her chest moves up and down with each of her soft breaths. Sometimes her hands appear to shiver while she is asleep, but one of my long and thick wool pullovers keeps her body warm for now. And if this will not help, a blanket is supposed to cover her body for more warmth in her sleep. Sitting next to her and watching this beautiful girl makes my skin tingle while my lips form a loving smile upon her beautiful grace. I love her so much.

I exist, and within this sphere of reality, I have made my choice to spend some time with my beautiful girlfriend. She’s caressing my stomache now and tries to kiss me. Within the whole preparation and learning for the final tests, we found some time to elevate our bodies with a burst of engine power – we moved out to the cold beach for a walk in the cloudy weather. Once we returned to the car, the sun began to shine and we decided to keep ourselves more occupied with a cup of coffee, cocoa and some delicious ice cream. Its so good to know my family owns the ice cream café… and all of this good stuff is free for us!
After finishing the last spoons of mint and chocolate ice cream, we left for home and continued to learn for the exams. The professors truely gave us an information-overload. Without my girlfriend, I’d be left in the realms of deepest soughtless existence…
