Bloggish Community Work

Its just the second day of the new year, and so far I have done well. Here’s a small list of all the good things done already in 2005:

  • I convinced my bloggish love to go out for a walk with me. It rain and the wind punished our faces and ears… hmmm.

  • I supported Ann concerning her blog „The Red Hibiscus“. I hope I was able to aid her better than leaving her all alone in the blogosphere since she’s been experiencing quite many problems and had alot questions concerning Blogspirit.

  • I’ve been talking with Bec about one of her resolutions – to study up to 4 hours a day as extra time.

  • Tried to help Silverstar with a problem about colored scrollbar effects with CSS stylesheets.

So far I’m feeling good, but I grow more and more tired of this dull moment where I sit in my living room, listen to some show on tv, watch my christmas tree and blog. Mmmh, I hope Katharina will ring at my door soon!

Thanks for the input! I really appreciate you taking time to point these out to me. Yeah, I know there is a prob with some of the syntax but basically what I did was leave the original blogspirit code intact and added and edited what I wanted to the right sidebar and the css template. I tried the left to no avail, I think you’re right about the blogspirit editor. I don’t think it is fully supported yet. Scrollbars never worked to begin with, so it’s not really that big a deal but at least I tried. I kinda figured that writing code is tricky; where you have a ; or a { or $ or whatever… one little error and you have a prob. But so far so good, it’s not broken so it doesn’t need to be fixed. Anyway, thanks again and happy new year to you.

    Hi Mike,
Yes – your suggestions were very helpful! Perhaps BlogSpirit will hire you as Tech Support.

I’ve just settled on using Netscape Composer for my posts. I can format, insert images & links.

But you got their attention, and for that, I thank you again!

Oh — how did you insert your banner? Can you pass the basic code on to me possibly & I’ll customize it for my blog?

    Ann

    Dear Ann,
I don’t believe they’d need me in the tech support, since I only applied my „common knowledge“ of how things work and how it might work out to Blogspirit’s interface. I suggest you’d get Macromedia Homesite 5 (or higher) to create your HTML code – since Netscape Composer works as far as I remember as a „WYSIWYG“ Editor and it might cause trouble with the DIV Layers and Cascading Style Sheets. I wrote you about the banner as a comment in your own blog.

    Thanks and best regards ;)

    Dear Kat,
I have this feeling as if there’s more than telepathy between the two of us… don’t you think?

    With love,
    Mike

    Dear Sinnan,
perhaps its just as always once technology hurts – the problem is between two ears in our heads. I wish I could help you further, but I’m afraid I lost my mind while trying to copy your HTML code and all reference files (.css) on my HDD – it worked there. I don’t know why it won’t work in the active internet.

Nevertheless, thanks for your input! Best regards,
    Mike
