Why I’m here and not in California

A few minutes earlier, anonymuis wondered in the comments why I’d stay here while Kat is going to start her internship in California. That’s quite the issue for me and a question I’ve been asked before. The reason why I will stay here back in Germany sounds quite stupid, but it is rather simple: I’m not going to California because Kat did not consider me for an internship in the same company in which she has applied for.

No, that’s childish. Of course there’s some other reason! She applied at a telecommunication company where one of her buddy-friends works as programmer for a call-center. In the end, this buddy-friend asked for her internship position and the whole thing got rollin. I had no real chance to get an internship at this company, and on top of that – why not being separated for a short time in a relationship?

I like the issue to be alone, to hang out until late at night, perhaps find some project work for our institute, or just enjoy the free time without worrying about what Kat might think if I do this or that! But I’m going to miss her a lot… so I’ll not go with her to California but stay here and wait for her return. I hope she does ;)

    if someone can be separated for short or long time in a relationship, then you get my salutation because i’ve never done that and can’t imagine how it is without him, even now it seems to be over i still feel like talking each other, but he doesn’t want to so i just sacrify my feeling coz maybe it will make him happier and better :)

    She’ll be there for about 7 weeks. Just 6 weeks for the internship and some days to recover from the evil jet lag! ;) I don’t know how it will be in the end if I look into her eyes at the airport… but it’ll be okay. :D

    I believe one reason is that I accept that she’s got this wonderful opportunity for her life and her curriculum vitae ;) And beyond this – no, actually above it all – I love this woman! Isn’t this reason enough?
