Evening Hours

Walking in the city of Berlin throughout the whole day to overcome your deepest pains in search for relief – pain for the body, not for your soul or mind – was our amazement in the daylight. The next set of marching added another five kilometers to this tourists’ road of perdition. In total the Berlin trip consumed 85 Euros and paid off some entertainment, delicious food, painful feet, and loving memories for the two of us. Now it’s closing in to 7pm and we’re expecting to drink a couple of cocktails in the „Eleven”, a small cocktail bar at the Leipziger Platz next to the Potsdamer Platz. Time for Happy Hour… the barkeeper nicknamed „Tomson” (for Thomas) offers a good service so far and the beer we’ve ordered earlier is already half empty: The Duckstein which is a dark brown Pilsener is for myself and the Köpi which stands for König’s Pilsener is a herb Pilsener beer for Katharina.
Within a few minutes, we will break off the beers and concentrate on a Flying Cangaroo and a French Colada with the chill-out music running through our ears to serve us some vibes and pleasure. Relaxation during the holidays is the key to unlock our secrecy…

Colorful cocktails for the late hours sum up the daylight’s bistro serving of tasteful food and snacks. As Tomson explained to me, they might introduce a WLAN Hotspot to make this bistro-café more attractive during the day. I consider this as a huge bonus to attract tourists like ourselves.

French Colada
Frecher würziger Cognac schimmert durch den Rum und die Sahne.

Flying Cangaroo
Sahning frischer Vodka im Hauch von Orangensaft.

Long Island Ice Tea
Tompson’s spezieller Mix – sehr empfehlenswert durch wenig Zusatz von Cola, dafür aber reich im Geschmack von Rum und Limetten.
