Blog at Blogspirit via Email (Update)

Now it’s time to test this function – I haven’t ever done this: Writing a blogentry by sending an email to the server. The requirements are simple since I need to add an authorized email address which may send posts to the secret (!!!) email address created by Blogspirit. I hope it’s going to work, and who knows how it’s going to show up in the blog. I believe I have to manually change the category and community settings of the entry… stay tuned!

Update:
Yes, I had to manually modify the category and community settings. Perhaps it’d be quite useful to preset any posts being delivered by email?

    Hey Mike,

I’ve been using this function like forever now. It works, but occasionally, you will have one or two emails that get bounced back or posted 2 or 3 hours later. To me which is not a big problem.

The true problem that bother me is that when Blog Spirit’s receive the email they will break it in a very werid way. How should I explain it? Let me think…

Usually an email program will break the lines automatically like every 74 or 80 characters, depending your configuration. So Blog Spirit will break your email in this way – when the line exceeding the width setting of your blog page, and again when it gets to the point that your email client breaks the emails. I always need to log back in to adjust them later.

Of course, like you said, you need to configure the category/community only when you log into the site.

But to me, I think it is convinieit, since you know my proxy doesn’t work all the time. ;)

    Cheers,
    K.

    Dear Kevin,

    first of all – I corrected your URL… ksquaure isn’t ksquare. ;)
Especially for people like you, it’s imperative to work „silently“ via E-Mail or any kind of other technology which might proove useful to trick your enemies. I haven’t noticed this kind of line-length error yet, but I’ll look out for it. I’ve been using my hotmail.com account, but haven’t experienced any kind of line-length problem there. Perhaps this is because I haven’t enabled this cutting option at hotmail. Hmmm…

    Best regards,
    Mike Schnoor
